Kevin is an imaginative 12-year-old boy who lives near Casco. He has been waiting for a Big Brother since last summer. Kevin's mother referred him to our program because he hardly ever sees his father who lives within an hour's drive.
A soft-spoken and sensitive boy, Kevin recently lost a very dear family member. His mother feels that he needs a consistent male influence in his life and someone with whom he can do “guy stuff.” He needs someone to guide him through adolescence and listen to him when he would like to talk about things on his mind. Kevin's mom tries to do as much as she can with him, but because of her job and another younger child in the home, their one-on-one time together is rare and sometimes difficult.
Kevin is a very active boy who loves to play outside, enjoys nature, science, football, hockey, soccer and watching animals. He really likes to help other people. He has a great personality, but gets frustrated at times and needs a lot of encouragement. This last year has been a difficult one for Kevin.
